Enter one, enter all or just a few - it is entirely up to You!
10 in 10 is the Tough Trails new affordable challenging series of shorter races around 10 miles across Peak District and Pennines with marked routes.
The best value for the lowest price!
We’ve created a tough and technical taster for those who want to challange themselves and push their running limits, but aren’t ready for higher distances yet. That said with elevation between 2000-3500ft over 10 miles even if you are a seasoned ultra runner you will still find the terrain challenging and feel the pain in your quads!
This series was made to allow runners of all abilities to taste wild trails* at lower cost. Myself and Mike both have daily jobs and we understand how economic crisis is effecting everyone. This is why we’ve made this series as much affordable as possible yet trying to give you proper race structure and feel.
Each distance is around 10 miles as crow flies and around half way through have a checkpoint with some water, drinks and snacks. We pride ourselves that we offer more at checkpoints than jelly beans and some cookies, hence you will always find something sweet, some fruits, something savoury and some Mountain Fuel drinks and gels to keep you going.
As all our races are quiet challenging there is always requirements for some basic kit which depend heavily on the weather.
Kit list is always send to all runners via email 2 weeks and 1 week prior to race, in case of adverse weather situation also via text and email day prior the race.
Each race will include:
- tough route with great views and likeminded people around
- Medal for all finishers
- OS map 1:25,000 available to print with marked route, marked CP and any tricky parts
- Gpx available to download (usually it’s on our website around a month prior to race, but you can request it via email earlier as well)
- Route will be marked - on average there will be a flags/tape every 1 mile
- Race bib
- Checkpoint with variety of snacks and drinks and Mountain Fuel gels
- Certificate of completion of the race
- Donation to National Trust
- Donation to MR
- First aider at CP and at the finish
* At Tough Trails we do not consider a tarmac roads a trail, so any on road parts are only appearing when it’s the only sensible way to the checkpoint or a road crossing to get to the trail, hence most our events are 98% off road
