The Combs Crusher 10 miles

THE COMBS CRUSHER 10 MILES FREE RACE !!!



This challenging 10 miles in Peak District with the elevation of 2200ft is a real quads tester!

Starting at Combs Reservoir you will have nearly 3 miles climb towards Castle Naze and Combs Edge with some rolling hills, to then run along Combs Edge until technical descent on the outskirts of Chapel en le frith. From there you will cross fields towards famous Eccles Pike, ascent to the trig point and descent towards Buxworth and loop back to Reservoir.

Castle Naze is the site of a prehistoric hillfort at the northwest edge of Combs Moss, overlooking Combs Reservoir (a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest).

Race fee to include:
•  Tough route with great views and like minded people around
•  OS map 1:25,000 available to print with marked route, marked CP and any tricky parts. 
•  GPX available to download (usually it’s on our website around a 1-2 months prior to race, but you can request it via email earlier as well)
•  Route will be marked - on average there will be a flags/tape every 1 mile. 
•  Race bib
•  Checkpoint with variety of snacks and drinks 
•  First aider at CP and at the finish
