ABOUT THE RACE
THE MIGHTY CHEVIOTS is an exceptional and unique Ultra Race.
This is a lifetime experience only for those who aren't scared of real challenge in cold and darkness.
40 miles starting with sunrise and finishing in deep darkness in a beautiful little village called Wooler. Its in late winter/early spring which means that it will be cold, wet, muddy and there are chances for a snow on the top of Cheviot and Hedgehope!
You think that you are physically and mentally tough enough to complete this race? With elevation over 9000ft this is gonna be a real test of your skills and stamina! Because race like that doesn't exist anywhere else in uk, we want to give everyone a chance to try something cool and tough, therefore you will have as much as 18 hours.
Race is self-navigated (map with route description & GPX will be provided), but we will organise guided recce of the course if needed.
All runners will have GPS tracker fitted after kit check & registration. They will allow your friends and family observe your progress in real time.
Will you dare to enter mysterious wild hills and try to conquer The Mighty Cheviots???
